This french toast recipe truly is the best! I made it for my family last week for the first time and it was a hit.
I never thought of using this secret ingredient to make french toast before, but it makes perfect sense. It adds a splash of flavor and a smooth, creamy, texture to the egg mix.
What is the Secret Ingredient?
Coffee creamer!
I just happen to have Coffee Mate Bliss Sweet Creme coffee creamer on hand and it added a perfect amount of sweetness and richness to the recipe. Any type of creamer will work as long as the flavor of the creamer doesn’t mask the flavor of the french toast.
So Simple to Make
Whip up 4 eggs in one cup of creamer, add in 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and that’s it. Super easy and delicious!
You can use any type of bread to suit your family’s taste. My personal preference is to make french toast using Texas toast or brioche. Both of these breads satisfy the hungriest of appetites.
Serve the french toast warm with your favorite toppings. Syrup, butter, fruit, or powdered sugar are just a few options.
