Fix this simple macaroni & cheese recipe as a side dish or the main course.
Bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
Add the elbow macaroni and a pat of butter to the water. Let it boil for 10 minutes or until the macaroni reaches the desired tenderness. Stir occasionally.
Drain the macaroni.
Add milk, butter, and cheese. Add more or less cheese based on your personal preference. Stir until the cheese is completely melted.
Serve immediately.
