Today I’m sharing with you 10-Minute Cleaning Tasks for each room in your house. The list is compiled of 50 different cleaning tasks that can be done at your own pace. Whether you truly only have 10 minutes to spare or an hour, how much time you can (or want) to dedicate to cleaning is up to you.
As a working mom, I am always trying to find the quickest way to get everything done on my “to do” list. Sound familiar? That means that I have to take advantage of small pockets of time and make them count. Instead of mindlessly staring at my phone for 10 minutes, I can get some cleaning done and check an item off of my list. Time-Saving Tips
- Delegate! Assign chores to the rest of the family since you are not the only one who lives in the house.
- Complete “loud” chores at night so you can finish what needs to be done early the next morning while the kids are still asleep (this is one of my “go to” weekend strategies).
- Focus on one floor at a time or one type of chore (i.e., vacuuming the entire house).
- Make the bed as soon as you get up.
- Wash a load of laundry before heading to bed. Put clothes in the dryer and/or hang-up clothes in the morning.
- Start dishwasher the night before and unload the dishes the next morning while you wait for the coffee to finish brewing.
- Wash dishes while you wait for food to finish cooking.
This list is ideal for busy families that don’t have the time, energy or desire to spend cleaning the entire house over the weekend. By accomplishing these tasks separately you build momentum going into the next item on the list. Managing to complete a few of these tasks below will also make you feel better about staying on top of your house cleaning.
Together, these tasks will eventually lead to your entire house being cleaned from the top to the bottom. So let’s get started!
